Enviroplex, founded in 1991, is a major supplier of rigid, steelframe, Division of the State Architect-approved buildings to schools throughout California. The company employs more than 100 people in a 125,000-square-foot modern manufacturing plant on 14 acres in Stockton, Calif. The company s steelframe division produces the structural steel components, including the engineered standing seam metal roofs and the all-steel ADA-compliant handicap access ramps. Enviroplex s movement resistant, rigid steel-frame design exceeds California s seismic building codes, provides significantly greater design flexibility and enhances shipping and installation characteristics. The Enviroplex design features a 9-foot floor-to-ceiling height, ducted HVAC system with an energy-efficient programmable thermostat. Enviroplex holds a statewide contract, under which any public school district can purchase a range of building sizes and choose from a list of available features.
