First Baptist Church of Canton is located on the north-west corner of Sheldon and Cherry Hill Roads. Sunday school classes are held every Sunday at 9:30am, for children and adults of all ages. A variety of student youth groups are also available, including the R.A.G.E. (Rising Against God's Enemies) ministries. The church has women's Bible study groups as well.
This traditional church is beautiful inside and out, from its graceful spire to the bronze fountain made by a local artist and installed in the interior courtyard's memorial garden. The large family-friendly church community is always happy to welcome new members.
First English Evangelical Lutheran Church is located on Vernier just east of Mack Avenue. The church was erected in 1959 with an addition completed in 2004 that includes a full-size regulation gymnasium and a commercial kitchen. Canton Friendship Church is located on Beck Road, just north of Saltz Road. Services are led by founding Pastor Mike Norton. A variety of ministries and classes are available for children of all ages, as well as for teens and adults. Numerous "Life Groups," designed for members to interact and learn from each other's experiences, are also available throughout the week. Sunday services are held at 9am and 10:45am.
Monastery of The Blessed Sacrament is located in a beautiful tree-filled setting. The Church is Roman Catholic and home to the Cloistered Dominican Nuns. The chapel is open daily from 6:45am to 5:00pm and offers daily evening prayers at 4:30pm and the celebration of the Eucharist daily at 7:15am. There is also a gift shop. All are welcome to come and pray here.
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church - Troy serves the community with its worship services, outreach and faith development. St. Stephen's offers Sunday School, infant care, the middle and high school youth Journey to Adulthood program as well as a variety of adult faith development opportunities.
Oak Pointe Church is a non-denominational Christian church located just west of Wixom Road on 10 Mile. The church is modern and very spacious. The pastoral leadership and management team is led by Bob Shirock, senior pastor. The church has several ministries for different age groups, such as Adventureland for infants through 5th graders, The Rock, for students in 6th through 8th grade and 707, for students in 9th through 12th grades. The church also sponsors global missions and encourages participation by the congregation. True North Christian Counseling is located on the church premises.
Trinity Lutheran Church has been serving the community in Utica since 1882. From the church's humble beginings, it has grown to about 4,000 congregants and a school that teaches about 500 students a year.
The school, which credits itself with preparing students with skills to be a leader in the Christian community, offers pre-school and K - 8 programs. It also offers child care, Young 5's, (preschool and K-8 programs).
Busing is available to those who reside in the Utica Community School district.
This Church is a place for local families to worship, meet new friends, learn and enjoy time together. Ministries and activities include potluck dinners, family camping trips, volunteerism in the community (including buildings houses for Habitat for Humanity), choirs for members of all ages, youth groups and overseas missions. The Church houses the Sunflower Christian Preschool.
