Our World Neighborhood Charter School has been operational since 2002 and is located in Long Island City, N.Y. The school provides academic classes to more than 650 students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, including history, geography, literature, science, math, art, music, technology and physical education. The school has a staff of more than 70 teachers and also conducts classes in filmmaking and Spanish. In addition, it offers various after-school programs that include tennis instruction, fitness and nutrition education and academic enrichment activities. Our World Neighborhood Charter School offers English as a Second Language and special education programs.
