Capital Area Realtors Federal Credit Union is a personal banking service for people working in the real estate industry. It has more than a thousand members and two full-time employees. Although the CARFCU is small, it provides all the traditional products found in larger institutions. It starts with checking and savings accounts, Visa debit/ATM cards, mortgages, home equity loans, car loans, CDs and money market accounts, as well as IRA/Roth accounts. It also has 24-hour internet banking. Membership includes joining the United Buyer Service, which offers discounts on new cars. Insurance products are offered through the Duffy Insurance Group. The nonprofit CARFCU was founded in 1971 and is affiliated with the Greater Capital Area of Realtors. It's located in the Edmonton, in an office condo next to Wintergreen Plaza Shopping Center.
