Crestdale Middle School has an enrollment of more than 900 students in grades six through eight. The school s exceptional childrens program offers cross categorical and specialized academic curriculum classes. It has a staff of approximately 90 employees. Crestdale Middle School s staff includes subject teachers, counselors, media specialists, career development coordinators, and technology and academic facilitators. The school s extracurricular activities include the National Junior Honor Society, spelling bee competitions, student council, and recitation, writing and art contests. It has a fine arts department that features a band, orchestra, drama, dance and visual arts. Crestdale Middle School s athletic programs include golf, football, softball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, baseball and cheerleading. Located in Matthews, N.C., the school is a part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
