Founded in 1966, Delaware Technical & Community College is a community college that offers academic, technical, continuing education, corporate and community training services in more than 100 associate degree, diploma and certificate programs. It provides classes in the fields of engineering technology, business and computer information systems, nursing, allied health, biotechnology, culinary arts, human services, and language and culture. The College enrolls more than 40,000 students annually. Delaware Technical & Community College also organizes summer camps for children. In addition, the college provides a variety of distance learning opportunities that includes interactive classroom and online and telecourses. It is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Delaware Technical & Community College maintains one of its locations in Newark, Del.
