The Frontier Academy, established in 1997, is a charter school that has a staff of more than 50 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a school psychologist, guidance counselor, health clerk, media and math specialists, classroom teachers, and health and physical education instructors. It offers academic classes in a variety of subjects, such as art, English, German, Spanish, history, math, science and technology, social studies, language arts, reading, and health and physical education. The Frontier Academy has a guidance department that provides class scheduling and college, career, peer and crisis counseling services. Located in Greeley, Colo., the Frontier Academy has an annual enrollment of nearly 1,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
