Located in Piscataway, N.J., the Middlesex County Department of Parks and Recreation maintains various parks and golf courses of the county. The park system consists of more than 15 county parks encompassing over 6,630 acres. It issues permits and passes to reserve playing fields, picnic groves, tennis courts and other places for organized group activities. The department organizes various programs, including summer and winter sports, plays, boating, theater workshops, concert programs, skating and dog shows.
