Mitchell Elementary School, opened in 1937, offers education to more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school offers classes in several subjects, such as math, science, social studies, physical education, language arts and English. It also offers lessons in art, media and music. Mitchell Elementary School is a part of the Washoe County School District, which is one of the largest school districts in Nevada.
