As an artist and a mother, I was looking for a way to combine my passion for art with my love for children. My vision for Its an Art Party is to introduce the next generation to all the fun art has to offer through childrens art birthday parties and art tutoring lessons in Charlotte, NC.
I love to see kids encounter art in a fresh, new way. I want them to realize that they can be an artist at any age and that the self-expression they experience through art is valuable.
Imagination and creativity go hand in hand. Art is a great way to get the creative juices flowing and it gives children an outlet to express feelings and emotions. I know art has taught me a lot about myself and has allowed me to express things that I could not otherwise say with words.
Art has also been linked to increasing cognitive development and improving fine motor skills. It encourages problem solving and may improve academic performance by teaching children how to focus, persevere, and think outside of the box.
Art birthday parties are great for kids who love to paint, draw, and color. Each child will create a unique piece of art in a fun, celebratory atmosphere surrounded by friends and family. Available art projects are listed on my website.
Art tutoring lessons are designed for one-on-one instruction and encouragement. My heart is for each child to realize their true potential while discovering new art mediums. I can also provide more technical lessons on anything from art history, to design, to color theory.
