Columbus Fair Auto Auction is a used automobile marketplace that offered more than 190,000 vehicles for sale in 2005. Established in 1959 by William Jacobs, the company originally auctioned used vehicles from dealerships to the general public. Columbus Fair Auto Auction holds weekly sales at its 85-acre facility that are frequented by more than 1,000 dealers from approximately 20 states. Several manufacturers, such as General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Kia and Suzuki, have contracted the company to conduct high-volume factory sales. Columbus also offers a range of value-added services, such as an on-site body shop, a mechanical shop and a reconditioning center. Columbus Fair Auto Auction employs more than 450 people and is located in Obetz, Ohio.
