About Capital Bank Capital Bank, a subsidiary of Capital Bancorp, Inc, is a community bank focused on satisfying the banking needs of individuals and small businesses. Deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the bank is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank system. The idea for the bank first started in 1999 when the banking environment began to change due in part to the consolidation of the industry and the trend by larger banks through pricing and structure decisions to discourage small businesses and individuals from obtaining reasonable loans.
