This Community Worship Center, run by Reverend Dr. Elmer L. Gillet, is dedicated to community outreach and services in the Bed-Stuy area. It offers morning worship services every Sunday, along with Sunday School, Tuesday Night Prayer and Friday Night Reload. The Church of Haile Selassie is an Ethiopian theology that teaches of Jaweh manifested in the trinity known as Emperor Hallie Selassie. Contrary to popular mytholgy around Rastafarianism this complex and serious religion in this divinity finds its roots long ago in Africa. This church is modest in size but claims its following is wide. The brightly colored exterior adds distinct cultural flavor to Bed-Stuy.
