The Weymouth Town Hall building is located on Middle Street. This facility is home to the office of Mayor Sue Kay and the Town Council, who meet on the first and third Monday evening of each month, commencing at 7:30 p.m. Other town departments and boards operate out of or meet in the building.
The Malden School Department manages the public school system in the city, including the high school, elementary and middle schools and early learning center. The office, located in the basement of Government Center, houses both the superintendent's and business offices for the school system. The special education offices are located one floor up in a separate space.
Chief Leo Sacco oversees Medford's police force from this headquarters. Among its departments are a drug control unit and computer crimes unit. The department had a $10 million operating budget in 2009.
The Braintree branch of the RMV is just off Washington Street in an office park on Plain Street. Its website features a clock that tells customers current wait times for registration and licensing, allowing them to time their trips to an office infamous for long lines. There is ample parking right next to the office and in a larger lot as well. The City of Malden Human Resources Department is in charge of hiring all city employees. It also works with former employees and retirees. HR provides and maintains employee benefits and programs.
The City of Boston Registry Department is a governmental office tasked with the maintenance of a data base of accurate birth, death and marriage certificates.
The Department of Information Technology manages and oversees all citywide computer and information systems and the City of Malden's main financial system. It provides technical support and manages, stores and maintains city-wide databases and network systems in addition to providing maintenance for the city website.
The controller's office, located in the Government Center, watches the city's financial bottom line, checks payments coming in and going out, and communicates with the state and federal governments on funding. The controller also handles purchasing for Malden.
The Government Center Commission operates Malden's current City Hall and grounds, and is charged with planning the future of Malden's government offices.
If you're having trouble finding the parking clerk's office in City Hall, just make your way to the second floor and look for the longest lines. The office manages all parking permits and tickets for the city through its multiple service windows at City Hall and, on any given day at any given time, the wait can be serious.
The parking clerk adjudicates all fines and fees from parking tickets, so appeals are handled through the office too.

The Board of Health and health department inspect Malden businesses and restaurants, making sure each establishment is in line with the health code and all applicable laws. Aside from food safety, the board also deals with sanitation and other health-related issues. The U.S. Army Career Center is located next to the Sacred Hearts Parish church on Main St. As soon as you walk in the door, the Army officers will be more than willing to assist you. They have an interview process to help determine your qualifications. Walk-ins are accepted, so there is no need to make an appointment.
The U.S. Army Career Center is active in the community and provides support for a lot of local high school and elementary schools. It also runs Project Strong and various other youth programs for children 10 and under. The office participates in sponsorship programs and participates in local parades.
The City of Malden Water Billing is located within the City of Malden's Treasurer and Collections Department. This billing department is responsible for the invoicing and financial collections for the city of Malden water and sewage usage. Water and sewage rates can be found on the city treasurer's website.
Malden's Public Works Department is responsible for trash collection, snow treatment and removal, street and park maintenance, and other similar duties, helping to keep Malden clean and in good repair. The city yard can accept oversize refuse from residents for a fee.
The facility also houses the traffic maintenance department.
