The Aquarius Institute has been in business since 1996. Starting off in Chicago, Aquarius Institute began providing career training for job skills to individuals to meet the requirements of the ever changing technology related jobs. After a few years, Aquarius Institute moved into the City of Des Plaines in the year 2001. At the address of 911 East Touhy Avenue, Des Plaines, Aquarius Institute continued its business at this location until the year 2011. (Copies of the City of Des Plaines Business licenses from year 2001 to 2011 are enclosed for review.) Aquarius Institute at first started its business in providing Computer Information Systems training. Among Computer Information Systems training, we also provided training in the latest high demand software and hardware. We continued to provide I.T. training up until the year 2005. Aquarius Institute realized less job potential for the local individuals due to outsourcing of I.T. jobs to foreign countries (such as India, China, etc.) Therefore, in the year of 2005, Aquarius Institute took a tangent and started to provide more service related skills training in the Allied Medical Health Care field. Currently, the Allied Medical Health Care field is the best service field to be in. Health care training is also a high demand job growth sector due to the many technological advancements found in health care today. Another plus for the health care field currently is that many jobs are opening up due to America’s ageing population. Currently, Aquarius Institute provides training in medical diagnostic testing in the field of Ultrasound/Sonography Technology and MRI Technology. We also provide training in Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG Technician and Medical Billing & Coding certification. Aquarius Institute is known to provide actual job skills training in order to have our students gain real job skills. We have classroom lectures with live demonstrations of job skills during lectures, as well as individual hands on practice lab sessions. Furthermore, we require our students to complete several hundreds of hours of clinical internship at our affiliated medical diagnostic imaging facilities. Due to Aquarius Institute’s consistent efforts in providing high demand job skills training, we have several thousands of our graduates currently employed in the American work force in the fields of Information Technology and Health Care with an annual income of $40,000 to $180,000.

Worsham College of Mortuary Science, founded in 1911, is a private institution offering an Associates Degree in twelve months. The College is dedicated to educating men and women for the funeral service profession. Students attending Worsham College come from all 50 states and many foreign countries. New students are accepted into the program in March and September. The development of mortuary science education has followed the general pattern common to all professional fields. As funeral service expanded, research was directed to developing better techniques & practices which resulted in a rapid increase in the knowledge of the science. Today, colleges of mortuary science are highly developed institutions of learning with curricula encompassing the physical and social sciences, liberal arts and the specialized subjects indigenous to the funeral service profession. Funeral service education has advanced tremendously from the days of the itinerant embalmer, who offered a short course in embalming technique as he moved from one community to another. Worsham College of Mortuary Science was founded by Professor Albert Worsham on March 17, 1911, as the Worsham College of Embalming. Professor Worsham was born in 1868, near Connorsville, Indiana, where he worked and trained at a variety of medical schools and hospitals. In 1902, he made the acquaintance of Dr. Carl Barnes, founder and owner of the Barnes School of Anatomy & Embalming in Chicago. Professor Worsham soon became intrigued with anatomy and in 1902, enrolled at the Barnes College. Upon graduation, Professor Worsham joined the faculty of the Barnes College where he taught for nine years, before founding one of the oldest colleges of mortuary science in existence today. Until his death on September 25, 1939, Worsham committed himself to selecting as his faculty, well-qualified professionals who, along with Professor Worsham, placed a great emphasis upon practical experience supported by scientific training. After Professor Worsham died, his wife Laura made plans to carry out their wishes to have the college continue in the hands of their faculty. Seven members of the staff, all physicians, purchased the College, and changed its name to Worsham College of Mortuary Science. For the next 26 years, Worsham College operated under the combined efforts of the new owners, all of whom instructed in various capacities. In 1961, attorneys Erwin Greenberg and James Spangler, assumed the administrative duties of the College. They operated the College until 1979, when Bruno Bak, a faculty member since his graduation from Worsham in 1947, became President. Mr. Bak together with Joan Tomczak-Bak, who served in the capacity as Registrar since 1967, moved the College to the northern suburbs of Chicago. Presently, Karl Kann, President and Stephanie Kann, Vice President, both graduates of Worsham College in 1990, are the Chief Administrators of the College. In the tradition set forth by generations, and most notably Joan and Bruno Bak, Stephanie and Karl Kann continue to nurture and guide students. Their mission is to insure that Worsham College of Mortuary Science grows and evolves, meeting the everchanging needs of the funeral service profession.
