The Greek Revival-styled courthouse, built in 1827 is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Dedham Session of the Norfolk County Juvenile court is one of three sessions in the county. The other two are located in Quincy and Stoughton. All petitions regarding care and protection for juveniles must be made at the Dedham Session of the Norfolk Juvenile Court. Unlike the other Norfolk County courts located on High Street, the juvenile court is on Allied Drive, off of the East Street Rotary.
