Corning Childrens Center is an educational and social welfare organization that offers a range of academic and child care programs for children up to the age of 5. Founded in 1980, it focuses on the development of social, intellectual, mental and physical status of its students. With more than 60 staff members, the school serves over 150 children and acts as a training site for college and high school students who pursue studies in early childhood education. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Elementary Education and is licensed by the state of New York as an early childhood education center. Additionally, Corning Childrens Center conducts research studies that help design several age-appropriate programs for students.
