Arise is a nonprofit, community-based independent living center in New York City that is run by and for people with disabilities. It advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities and offers them more than 40 programs and services, including employment, mental health, Medicaid service coordination, recreation and support services. The organization operates day camps and recreational facilities on an 84-acre horse farm, offering programs that are open to people of all abilities.
