Galvan Industries is a major supplier of hot dip galvanizing to businesses and industries throughout the southeast. For structural or ornamental steel, Galvans molten zinc process protects customers investments against the elements better than any other coating. Originally established in 1958, the facility was acquired as a subsidiary of Willard Industries in 1960, which was a lead smelter and specialty fabricator located in Charlotte, N.C. In the early 1960s, the kettle capacity was expanded to 27 feet in length to facilitate larger fabrications and structural steel. As demand for galvanized products increased the kettle was again lengthened to 32 feet. In 1991, the galvanizing kettle size was once again increased to 42 feet giving the company one of the largest galvanizing kettles in the southeast. Its objective is to provide steel fabricators and manufacturers with quality, fast delivery and personal service for their galvanizing requirements.
