He once ate fourteen scoops of ice cream and was awarded a shirt emblazoned with "I Ate The Kitchen Sink at Chezzies Ice Cream Parlor." Visiting Vegas at the age of 21, he lost his shirt, luckily not the ice cream shirt. His brushes with greatness include meeting the stars of Terms of Endearment while it was filmed at his Aunts home, and meeting Julia Roberts on the eve of her winning the Academy Award for her role in Erin Brockovich. He touched her statuette. This trust in Bias Studios and its staff, along with the comfortable, friendly atmosphere, is why artists come back time and again.Bias Studios is a two-studio facility designed by Tom Hidley. It is built the right way, with separate concrete slabs, walls and cap for each room, and completely separate air conditioning systems for each area. Within the studios, the slabs are further divided under the drum booths and the piano pads, minimizing low frequency transmission to other areas. Acoustic interference is very rare. There is a separate power transformer for the studio to reduce the chance of outside interference. The stone is real, 12" thick, and the oak is 3/4" over 1.5" of base material.
