The Soda Canyon Store is a full-service deli with an espresso bar, freshly baked pastries, groceries, beverages, ice, a wide wine selection and gift items. On the menu, daily specials, such as the Firehouse roast beef with dijon, jalapenos, horseradish, and cheddar, served on foccacia bread, and homemade salads, such as tortellini pesto, are prepared fresh. Seating is plentiful both inside and outside.
Genove Delicatessen features Italian gourmet foods and delicacies. It offers cured meats, such as salami, mortadella and prosciutto, as well as dishes prepared daily, such as chicken salad, tortellini salad, antipasto and pesto pasta. The family-owned business also operates its own ravioli factory out of Oakland. Ravioli is the deli's specialty, and many of the pastas on the menu are hand-rolled. Large sandwiches are made-to-order at the deli counter and an espresso counter is always buzzing with activity. Genova Deli was voted Best Sandwich by the 18th Annual Best Of for Napa and Sonoma 2010. Gourmet specialties and grocery items, such as grissini bread sticks, panetone breads and sugar-coated almonds in a loose candy case for are available special events. Genova deli has been a Napa institution since 1926.
This Napa shop carries the full line of Jamba Juice smoothies and juices with "boosts" like 3G Charger (guarana, ginseng, green tea) and Immunity (Vitamin C, zinc). It also offers breakfast items like oatmeal and smoothie-topping granola and fresh fruit. If you want something more substantial, wraps, sandwiches and salads are available too. These items, along with smoothies, can be ordered for groups through the Jamba "Goodness On-the-Go" catering service.
Tucked away in a quieter Napa neighborhood, Brown's Valley Yogurt & Espresso Bar, owned by locals Cindy and Bill Stewart provides a tranquil and friendly place to enjoy coffee, tea or a cool treat. Espresso drinks are made from freshly ground beans. It also features flavored coffees and an array of teas. The shop has fresh baked goods, and four flavors of tempting frozen yogurt daily, including more exotic ones like Butter Brickle and Peanut Butter. Customers can top off yogurt orders at the "goodie" bar, with cookies, candies or chocolates. Sit inside the cozy shop, or outside where there are benches and patio chairs.
This shop employs local teens, who appear to enjoy a legacy of great early experience in the workplace, supported by the Stewarts, who keep track of them long after they've moved on.
Anette and her brother Bret have been making truffles and chocolates in the Napa Valley for many, many years. Their specialties include wine-infused chocolate syrups and truffles. Also available are custom chocolate creations and chocolates with nuts - all made at the store. A new store is now also available at Oxbow, the Napa market.
A-1 Food Store features convenience none of its kind on South Coombs. For local businesses during business hours and residents thye carry many household items, cigarettes, liquors in variable size bottles, beverages, including Glacier water dispenser out front. Hot coffee station and many last minute groceries, as well as gifts and apparel. Outside there's a propane exchange to fill tanks for $20, upgrades for old tanks for $39.99. There's also a recycling box for donations in the far end of the property.
