The City of Van Buren Housing Authority has limited-income housing for individuals and families qualifying under federal guidelines. It offers a variety of features that include units with central heating/air-conditioning, two community centers for resident use and washer/dryer connections in all units, among others. The agency provides residents, both youth and adults, a variety of programs that include literacy/GED classes, NYPUM (National Youth Project Using Minibikes), neighborhood watch/resident patrol and food giveaway, to name a few.
