Diablo Industries is employee-owned and has served the electronics industry since 1972. The company has served many customers in the fiber optic and telecommunications markets, working to create low cost and high reliability solutions. As a result, it has successfully developed methods to produce high volume thin film products that compete favorably in price with thick film equivalents. The company now manufactures large quantities of low cost patterned and non-patterned circuits, typically used as mounts for laser diodes in the fiber optic community. These parts are typically manufactured from high thermal conductivity and can be supplied in conventional waffle packs or on ring-mounted dicing tape for use on automated pick-and-place assembly equipment. Founded in San Jose, Calif., Diablo remained under the same ownership for 25 years. Operations were moved to Minden, Nev., along the eastern front of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
