Lola is a beautiful restaurant located in the heart of the Great Neck shopping district. The menu features everything from flat bread pizza, salads and sandwiches for lunch to cocktail snacks and more than 20 tasting plates for dinner. Lola is a 2010 winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Bar specials are available Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm to 6:30pm. The bar is open even after the kitchen closes, so you can stay for a drink or two after your meal.
Though it is situated on busy Central Avenue, Niko's Greek Taverna manages to evoke the feeling of a white-washed restaurant in Greece. Run by the members of the Kringas family, the restaurant offers a range of award-winning Greek specialties. The menu includes grilled octopus, fried calamari, spinach pie, Greek meatballs, stuffed grape leaves and a dip sampler, among other items.
