The Terrace at Daytona Beach is a 60-bed nursing and rehabilitation unit. It organizes varied activities, such as exercise classes, games, trips, arts and crafts, cooking and fairs. Its social service department assists with social services, discharge planning and counseling. The unit s facility consists of activity rooms, lobbies, day rooms, television lounges, courtyards, patios and furnished living area. It has partnered with Select Rehabilitation to deliver physical, occupational and speech therapy services that are approved by Medicare and Medicaid. Located in Daytona Beach, Fla., the unit s physical therapy includes personalized treatment plans, postoperative orthopedic rehabilitation, chronic pain management, treatment for neurological impairment, and walker fitting and training. Its therapists utilize a wide variety of modern treatment techniques and equipment, including gait training, ultrasound, massage and thermal agents, balance training and manual therapy.
