Bird is a designer clothing store for men and women on Smith Street. It is one of three Bird stores in Brooklyn and has a beautiful corner location with windows on two sides of the store. Bird sells shirts, blouses, pants, skirts and dresses, as well as shoes and accessories. Brand names include Rachael Coney, Isabelle Marand and Phillip Lum.
Founded in Seattle in 1993 by Claire Cavanah and Rachel Venning , Babeland has expanded to include three locations in New York. This one, on Bergen St. in Prospect Heights, opened in 2008. It's a shop designed with women in mind, and focuses on intimacy-enhancing products, selling a broad array of toys, videos, clothing and accessories. Private parties are available and various classes are offered throughout the month.
