The Institute of Physical Art offers continuing education courses in Functional Manual Therapy Movement Reeducation for Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants and Occupational Therapists. The curriculum is composed of ten courses that integrate PNF, soft tissue and joint mobilization, muscle energy, Functional Orthopedics, Functional Mobilization, neuromuscular reeducation, and Back Education and Training. The material bridges the needs of the orthopedic, neurological, and sports patient populations, and is immediately applicable in any clinical setting. These are 2 - 3 day lab-intensive seminars offered throughout the year and across the country at hospitals, clinics, universities, and rehab facilities. Completion of the courses provides an opportunity for physical therapists to become certified through the IPA as a Functional Manual Therapist ( CFMT ). Upon completion of 4 core courses ( discussed in detail on our certification page ), physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and occupational assistants have the opportunity to complete the Functional Orthopedic Certification ( FOC ). Important Note: Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions ( IMTS ) now coordinates the CTI and LPI courses. Please visit their web page www.imtsglobal.com.
