Tresco is a private, nonprofit organization founded by parents who required community-based services for their family members with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. It offers a range of early intervention services and support to children up to three years. The organization also provides respite and personal care services to individuals and their families, as well as supports employment and volunteer placement and training programs. Tresco provides supports and services to more than 1,200 individuals per year and employs over 500 people. It additionally offers supported and assisted living services, such as money management, meal planning and preparation, health monitoring and maintenance, personal and household care, and planning and participation in recreation and leisure activities. The organization is also responsible for medication administration and nursing support and the development of self-advocacy skills. Tresco maintains a location in Socorro, N.M.
