STAR Physical Therapy was established in October 1997. Our company provides comprehensive rehabilitation in a relaxed and friendly environment. STAR Physical Therapy currently has over 60 outpatient clinics throughout Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana. We also operate 6 contract outpatient clinics and 3 on-site facilities for major industrial complexes. We are committed to excellence in rehabilitation, providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and sports medicine. Our goal is to work closely with physicians to enhance the quality of health care for the physically active. Each clinic addresses improving patient function through active participation, rather than through passive modality application. Our hands-on and friendly staff provide the personal attention to enhance each patients recovery.Unique in todays healthcare business, STAR is owned and operated by the same health care professionals who provide the quality physical therapy in their clinics. Developing relationships is the key to the success of our clinics. STAR Physical Therapy believes that each member has a significant role to play either directly or indirectly with physicians, patients, and community leaders. Our focus is to develop each clinic as an integral part of the community it serves. Regg Swanson is president and managing member of STAR Physical Therapy, Regg has been involved with sports medicine and physical therapy for over 25 years. Locally, he has designed and promoted the sports medicine/athletic training coverage for all the high schools located in Williamson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. Regg is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Regg serves on the board of directors for Tennessee Commerce bank and is also on the Board of Trustees for Brentwood Academy. In 1988 Regg was one of the U.S. Athletic trainers invited to travel with the Olympic team to Seoul Korea. Regg was honored in 1991 as Tennessee Clinical Athletic Trainer of the Year. He was also head athletic trainer for the 1996 Atlanta Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, in charge of the swimming venue. Regg and his wife, Adora, enjoy spending time together on their farm, outside of Franklin, where they have raised their three children. Dave Landers is vice-president, and partner of STAR Physical Therapy, Dave has practiced in the Nashville area for 18 years with particular emphasis in spinal care and rehabilitation. He was co-owner of Nashville Spine Center, PC before his involvement with STAR. Dave has been involved in clinical education over the entirety of his practice, and maintains that role with STAR presently. He credits his love for spines to working with some of the finest neurosurgeons in the southeast. In addition to his physical therapy degree, he holds two masters degrees, and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University. Dave is married to the former Amy Brazil, and they have three children, Luke, Hannah and Sam. Dave is a huge fan of his children, CPA, and LSU football. Hal Henninger became a partner with STAR Physical Therapy in November of 1997. He has been practicing physical therapy for the past 17 years in Middle Tennessee. Hal is originally from Athens, Georgia. He attended Vanderbilt University from 1980 to 1984. He then left Nashville for Augusta, Georgia where he attended the Medical College of Georgia. He received his physical therapy degree from MCG in 1986. Hal has managed several outpatient clinics and has also worked in acute care and home health settings. Hal is married to the former Elizabeth Shands from Jackson, Mississippi. They now live in Brentwood, Tennessee and have four children. Hal is very active following all his childrens activities and spending time with his lovely wife. The Henninger family is active at Christ Community Church in Franklin.
