J. Ray McDermott designs, fabricates, transports and installs offshore platforms and pipelines for the marine petroleum industry. JRM also operates a diversified fleet of vessels for the marine construction industry. Its primary vessels are combination derrick and lay barges and its global fleet is located in the Gulf of Mexico, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Caspian. Its Middle East fabrication operation was awarded ExxonMobil Development Companys Contractor of the Year Award for 2004, in recognition of the companys excellent safety performance working on the RasGas Offshore Expansion Projects and Qatargas Projects, for which ExxonMobil is one of the major shareholders. J. Ray McDermott is headquartered in Houston and operates fabrication facilities in the Americas, Middle East, Caspian and Asia Pacific.
