This church was founded on May 18th of 1847 by Reverend White and four other members who were tired of travelling to Manhattan for their place of worship. Reverend White was a well-known abolitionist, and the church and members' homes were often used as sanctuaries for runaway slaves. Since then, the Concord Baptist Church of Christ has dedicated time and thought to the African-American community and the current issues it faces. They provide the community with Sunday worship, Bible study, youth programs and music programs, as well as activism and service within the community.

We recognize that God is the author of our "Spiritual Formation". It is a journey. He leads us through in order to make us Christ-like in all areas of our lives. The number of means He uses to bring about change in our character cannot be counted. However, as a church body we are finding out that He is able to do it We would like you to join us as we encourage one another in this important relationship with God. My wife, Wendy and I have a strong commitment to the people here at The Wesleyan Church of Orchard Park. We are growing together as a believing community and we would welcome you to join us on this journey.
