First Redeemer is a church with a huge following in Cumming. They offer a large campus, complete with multiple classrooms, recreational areas and a coffee shop. The church has more than 160 ministries, including those for youth, seniors, men and women. They have strong music and missions programs.
The founding pastor is Dr. Richard Lee, a noted author and public speaker. As Southern Baptists, the congregation believes the Bible is the inherent word of God, and that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. They practice communion through the Lord's Supper and practice baptism by immersion.
Advent Lutheran Church, a community landmark, is located at the corner of Harper and Cannon roads. Worship services are held each Sunday at 8:45 am and 11am. Christian education is offered for all ages from 9:45-10:45am each Sunday. Nursery care is available for families with young children during the 11am service.
Faith Baptist Church has been serving the Fredericksburg area since 1975, operating the Faith Baptist School and Faith Baptist College. Services are also held in Spanish.
Spirit & Truth Church welcomes the community to worship with its congregation at services that incorporate contemporary live music and a sermon. Each newcomer receives a follow-up phone call from a church member to gauge engagement and extend a return invitation. The church sponsors robust ministry programs for children, youth, women, men, new members, the hearing impaired and those interested in music and drama.
The affiliated Spirit & Truth Pre-School & Daycare is a Christian-based learning center for children aged 2 to 12 years, open on weekdays from 6am to 6pm.

The First United Methodist Church is a staple in the Austell community. It hosts an array of programs for its members and the community of Austell. These activities include fitness programs and Backpack Blessings, where elementary students are given a backpack of food for the weekend and bring the backpack back on Monday to be refilled for the next weekend. Faith Lutheran Church holds Sunday worship at 9am and 11am, in addition to Sunday School at 10:10am. The church offers many other programs and outreach services, including bible study. Faith Lutheran School, located on the church grounds, provides a comprehensive education for pre-school and elementary students.
