Not to be confused with the other Zion Lutheran Church on Brownsville Road (which is actually in Brentwood Borough), the North Zion Lutheran Church has its own identity. Indeed, North Zion serves a number of area churchgoers with its 9am Sunday mass and 10:30am Sunday school, among other activities. The organization, set near an area cemetery, also runs a pre-school and is the Base Camp for the local Boy Scouts of America Troop 338. The pre-school started in 1964 and serves children from ages 3-5, but North Zion itself was founded in 1800.

From humble beginnings, the Baldwin Community United Methodist Church and Pre-school quickly grew into a staple of its surrounding area, servicing Baldwin-Whitehall since the 1940s. The church truly began as a Sunday school but has grown into providing full mass services, along with, of course, traditional baptisms and weddings. Though Sunday classes remain, Baldwin Community United Methodist Church also offers an array of other activities, such as an alternative, rock-music-driven mass option on Sunday mornings. More activities are Vacation Bible School and Praise Kids Choir, among others.

Northmont Child Development Center & Preschool Center has been providing care for children since 1981. It is state certified and licensed by the Department of Public Welfare. The program it has in place helps develop the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical aspects of each child. There are programs for infants, toddlers and preschool children. The professional staff are all certified in first aid and CPR.
Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic School is run by Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Parish, a Catholic community with a long and proud history of piety and service.
The parish rests at what has long been called "Sacred Acres" on Grove Place. It pays homage on its website to its great tradition by stating, "To read even a brief history of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish is to know something of the mystery of God at work in the lives of those who have gone before us. Priest and people alike, they are the ones who put in place what we have today - buildings and the structure of faith."
Both the church and school offer an array of activities outside of mass and classes, all designed to provide Catholic guidance for its nearby residents. School grades range from pre-school to eighth. The parish also boasts a colorful, "old-timey" gymnasium with balcony seating and it even offers daycare services.
First Impressions Daycare Center is located inside W. R. Paynter Elementary School and is part of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. It offers a pre-school daycare program starting at age 3 and a before- and after-school program for children up to age 12. The daycare prepares children for school and helps them with their social skills in a fun, safe atmosphere. First Impressions follows the school's holiday and summer break schedule.
St. Simon & Jude School is connected to the church of the same name next door. It offered classes to students from kindergarten through the fifth grade before closing in June. It continues to be used for pre-school students and CCD classes.

In many ways, the former home of the Willock Social Association is the perfect home for the recently moved-in New Wine Harvest Church. New Wine Harvest, a Christian organization that took residence at 5206 East Willock Road in 2009, needed the Borough of Baldwin space after it outgrew its Pleasant Hills Borough location. Formerly known as Springs in the Valley, this church aims to get away from any stigma associated with churches. According to lead Pastor Ken Huhn, New Wine is more of a center instead of a church. Café Fusion is also run by New Wine Harvest and operates like a coffeehouse during the day and a live-music stage in the later hours. The New Wine church operates in a relaxed, contemporary style.
The Good Shepherd Christian Preschool is run by the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of South Hills. Although the church is a Lutheran organization, the preschool includes families of different Christian denominations and backgrounds. As a Lutheran organization, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of South Hills follows the teachings of Martin Luther, who initiated major church reform in the 1500s. Good Shepherd Lutheran serves the South Hills of Pittsburgh during its weekly Mass services while also offering a supply of other community activities such as its Human Care Commission. Good Shepherd sponsors a Ministry for the Deaf, typically during its 11am Sunday service.
