Richard Newton began his real estate career in 2012 shortly after relocating to Atlanta from New York. He started with a national firm, becoming the companys top new agent in his first year, and joined Dorsey Alston in 2016; "I wanted to be with a firm that had strong local ties and that excelled in representing the citys most discriminating buyers and sellers." Prior to becoming a realtor, Richard spent more than twenty years in the hospitality industry, as a hotel executive and later an independent wedding planner. In 2006 he launched a fragrance for the bridal market, which Bride Magazine recognized as one of the years top products. "If there is one constant in my career, it is helping my clients navigate lifes big events." Richard spent most of his childhood in Paris and holds dual citizenship. In addition to his time in France, he has lived in Switzerland, London, Chicago, and New York. "I have completely lost count of how many times I have moved; it is never easy, but it helps my clients that I understand first hand what they are experiencing." Richard is a board member of the North Buckhead Civic Association and serves on their Land Use and Zoning Committee. He has also served on the board of his Homeowners Association, and is active with the French American Chamber of Commerce. Richard lives in Buckhead with his wife and 17 year old daughter. Richard is an avid cook, and in his free time is often traveling.
