Campbell Union High School District was organized on August 13, 1900 and is home to the city's five high school campuses. All five of the schools are California Distinguished Schools and Campbell's very own Westmont High School is also a National Blue Ribbon School.
The district's newest and sixth campus, Camden Community Day School focuses on at-risk youth.
There are 7,700 students that attend the district from communities including Campbell, San Jose and Los Gatos.
The district's API score for 2009-10 grew by 14 points, raising its districtwide score to 761. The state of California rates its schools on a 200 to 1,000 scale, with 800 being its benchmark.
George Mason High School is operated by Falls Church City Public Schools. It is the only high school in the four-school district. The school covers grades eight through 12.
