This privately-owned driving school offers the usual driving education courses such as, license preparation, driver improvement, drug and alcohol awareness classes, and a point system conference, but goes the extra mile and offers its students assistance with the paperwork and beaurocratic details involved in license aquisition. Instructors will assist students in making sure that all documents and paperwork are in order before going to the MVA. Afternoon and evening class schedules are available, and enrollment is rolling and begins every three weeks.

The Maryand School for the Blind is located on Taylor Avenue between Parkville and Overlea. The school has been a part of Maryland since for more than 150 years, and moved to its current location in 1908. The Perry Hall Children's Center is a Cooperative Preschool that is run by a board of directors and is located at St. Michael's Lutheran Church.  It has been in operation since 1972 and is accredited by the Maryland State Board of Education. Designed to be small, it only admits 14 3-year-olds and 18 4-year-olds, and part of the program requires parents to be present at the preschool sessions on a rotating basis, hence the co-operative part of the program.

The Perry Hall Learning Center is a small, neighborhood-style daycare center that also has a fully approved preschool curriculum.  It was started in 1977 and has grown ever since. The director has been with the school for nearly all that time, and the assistant director has been there since 1995. The school offers programs for infants all the way up to school-age children, and it has full-time and part-time care available to parents.

Fullerton Elementary School has served the Overlea-Fullerton area since 1976.  The school houses about 550 PreK to fifth grade students and employs 32 teachers. It is located adjacent to the Recreation Council and its principal is Mrs. Susan Biscoe.
