Samuel and Sylvia Schwab began the S. Schwab Company in 1915 in New York City. A family-owned clothing business, the company moved to Cumberland, Md., in 1924. It became the first occupant of the Upper Potomac Industrial Park in 1970 with 95 employees. Several additions have been made to that building, known as the corporate office. Three other building within the industrial park have been purchased and renovated to accommodate product development, design, manufacturing and distribution. Its line of Little Me children s clothing includes bonnets, gloves, footwear, outerwear as well as bedding in coordinating patterns and prints. Merchandise is available in specialty and department stores such as Bloomingdales, Saks and Macys.
