Established in 1963, Scenic Hudson works to protect and restore the Hudson River and its landscape. It operates various environmental projects in partnership with state and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations and committed volunteers. The organization protects land through conservation easements that permanently restrict property development near the river. Scenic Hudson additionally creates parks and preserves farmland throughout Columbia, Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties in New York.
