Woody Guthrie Foundation And Archives About

Woody Guthrie Publications is dedicated to preserving the musical legacy of American singer, songwriter and folk musician, Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Guthrie (July 14, 1912 - Oct. 3, 1967). Guthrie wrote hundreds of songs, perhaps his best known song being "This Land is Your Land." This organization sells CDs, posters and books about the folk singer. Guthrie had eight children, including singer and songwriter Arlo Guthrie of Alice's Restaurant fame and Nora Guthrie who is the President of Woody Guthrie Publications, Inc. Nora's daughter and Woody's granddaughter, Anna Canoni, is the Events and Programs Director for Woody Guthrie Publications. She handles educational programs, lectures and film screenings and can even arrange a night of Woody's music for your local pub.
