New Covenant Worship Center located on Newton Bridge Road in Athens is a non-denominational church with roots in the Church of God. NCWC offers a wide variety of discipleship opportunities for spiritual growth as well as youth services, childcare and much more.
First Redeemer is a church with a huge following in Cumming. They offer a large campus, complete with multiple classrooms, recreational areas and a coffee shop. The church has more than 160 ministries, including those for youth, seniors, men and women. They have strong music and missions programs.

Faith Lutheran Church & School has a calender of events for every age, ranging from Girl Scout Troop meetings to mixed volleyball team events to forest service volunteering. The Faith Lutheran School is for 2-year-olds through eighth-graders.
Sandy Springs United Methodist Church was founded by some of Sandy Springs' original settlers. The church provides a food pantry, a clothing boutique and financial assistance with rent and utilities to those in need. Sunday worship takes place at 11am.

The First United Methodist Church is a staple in the Austell community. It hosts an array of programs for its members and the community of Austell. These activities include fitness programs and Backpack Blessings, where elementary students are given a backpack of food for the weekend and bring the backpack back on Monday to be refilled for the next weekend.
