Fairlington Presbyterian Church was formally established more than 60 years ago. During worship services, three classes are offered for children: sparks, ages 3 - kindergarten; feasting on the Word, 1st - 3rd; and God Squad, 4th - 6th.
The Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, NVHC for short, is a synagogue serving more than 400 families from Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. The temple is an affiliate of the Union of Reform Judaism. It offers a welcoming religious community, weekly worship services, discussion groups, adult education and lifecycle events.
NVHC has an active Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Social Action Committee and Youth Groups. The temple is also home to a preschool for children ages 2-5.
Vale United Methodist Church, founded in 1894, is on a hill at the corner of Vale and Fox Mill roads. Originally run out of the Vale School, the church used donated property to build a sanctuary, which opened in 1896. That chapel still stands, and an expansion opened in 1992. In addition to Sunday services, Vale United Methodist Church runs a preschool program three days a week from 9:30am until 12:30pm.
Faith Baptist Church has been serving the Fredericksburg area since 1975, operating the Faith Baptist School and Faith Baptist College. Services are also held in Spanish.
Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded in 1889 though it did not officially become a separate church until 1949. A part of the Washington D.C. synod, it engages in a liturgical service that draws from the Bible, the Lutheran Book of Worship and other religious texts. Services are held twice on Sunday along with religious education classes for children aged two years to seniors in high school. The church participates in a number of outreach ministries and lends the building out to miscellaneous service groups.
Ravensworth Baptist Church is a progressive Baptist congregation and Christian community who believe in following the example of Jesus and learning from the Bible and following its teaching. They are an inclusive community and welcome diversity. The church is also a member of the Association of Welcome and Affirming Baptists.
The St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church is a large parish with several buildings, a community center, a chapel and a rectory. It also has a large amount of gardens and quiet areas. The gardens create a peaceful atmosphere and the church itself is modern yet classic.
Truro Church serves an Anglican community on the border of Old Town Fairfax. The church offers weekly services in English and Spanish, as well as city-wide volunteer opportunities, worship programs for all ages, international programs and more. Like many churches in Alexandria, this parish is rich in history. In 1862 it was used as a hospital by Union forces occupying Alexandria. The first floor was used as a stable. It was returned to its congregation in 1865. It underwent several major renovations, including stained-glass and oak pews in 1899. New members today join the church through a certificate of transfer from a previous church or through a profession of faith. The church baptizes adults and children.
After this church's current facility was built in 1995, the building was expanded to include a wing for Sunday school classrooms. Services are casual, and all are welcome to attend. A preschool is associated with the church. Visit the website for more information.
Located just off Columbia Pike down Whispering Lane, John Calvin Presbyterian Church is a friendly, community-centric place of worship where the goal is to strengthen the values and spirit of their members through discussion, prayer and fellowship. The National Capital Presbytery created the church in 1959. It moved to its current location after the number of lanes on Columbia Pike was increased. Due to this change, there are now two entrances to the parking lot, both down Whispering Lane. The church holds Communion and family worship services on the first Sunday of every month.
Reverend Keith A. Savage has been pastor of First Baptist since August 2002 and is the church's 12th pastor since its foundation in 1872. The church is located in Old Town Manassas on Center Street. Multiple ministries make up the church, including multiple Sunday morning services, Wednesday night Bible study meetings and a children's church.
Pohick Church has a lengthy history in Northern Virginia. It was built in 1774 and was the church of George Washington and George Mason. The church is a longtime member of the Anglican and Episcopalian Churches. The well-kept grounds of the church are available for tours and the church itself is open to the public from 9am - 4:30pm. Services are held on Sunday at 7:45am, 9am and 11am. The first service is traditional, the second is contemporary and the third combines aspects of both. In the summer months there are only two services -- at 8am and 10am.
There are also services during the week at the Fairfax Retirement Home at 2:30pm on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesdays at 7:30am there is laying on of the hands service. Bible Study is on Saturday mornings at 8am.

The Del Ray United Methodist Church stays actively involved in the town by offering a variety of community services. The church also provides opportunities for children to learn and explore their faith, including a 9am "Prayground Service" on the second Sunday of each month.
Along with Bible study and women's prayer meetings, the church also hosts Alcoholics Anonymous and Overeaters Anonymous support groups.
The church's large sanctuary holds worship on Sunday at 1030am and Wednesday at 730pm.
