Alaskas Nautical Training School is a maritime training service. We specialize in preparing the students to responsibly navigate vessels safely and prudently, and to be in compliance with the requirements of the United States Coast Guard and with the Code of Federal Regulations. We are authorized to operate by the US Coast Guard. The typical candidate for a Coast Guard License has been involved in the fishing industry or nautical environment for many years. In order to qualify for a Masters License or a Limited OUPV Guide on the Freshwaters and Rivers of Western Alaska, the USCG prerequisites for obtaining a license includes sea service documentation ( not needed to take our class ). Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion from Alaskas Nautical Training School. Presenting our certificate to the USCG, and meeting the qualifications outlined in the USCG licensing packet, are all that is needed to receive a USCG Masters License or a Limited OUPV Guide on the Freshwaters and Rivers of Western Alaska, with no further testing by the USCG. These Licenses are issued by the Coast Guard. Along with individual instruction during regular classroom hours, Alaskas Nautical Training School will offer free tutoring each day after class for those students having difficulties with any portion of the class. Alaskas Nautical training School furnishes all materials and supplies needed to complete all of our courses. There is no need for students to buy books or supplies for class. Our workbook covers all the subjects required to meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the USCG for a Masters License up to 100 GROSS TONS on Near Coastal Waters ( up to 200 miles offshore ).
