Established in 1967, Siouxland Community Blood Bank is a nonprofit charitable corporation. It supplies voluntarily donated blood to patients in more than 35 hospitals throughout Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Siouxland Community Blood Bank is approved by Americas Blood Centers, which is an international network of community-based blood banks. The blood bank network is one of the largest providers of blood products and services in the United States. It organizes a number of blood drives for the community. It also operates various mobile blood donation centers where people can donate blood and platelets. Siouxland Community Blood Bank is located in Sioux City, Iowa.
