The oldest Catholic church in Novato and the city's largest church in terms of membership was established in 1892 under the auspices of the Rev. Charles E. O'Neale. The first parish building was located on modern-day South Novato Boulevard and destroyed by fire in 1935. A new parish was opened in 1937 at 1200 Grant Ave., where today sits the Muscio's Italian Restaurant. The current parish, opened in 1963, is at the corner of Grant Avenue and Novato Boulevard.
The Rev. William McCain's congregation is more than 1,800 families strong. The parish is host to numerous organizations, such as the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters, the Italian Catholic Federation and the St. Vincent de Paul Society as well as the parish's Helping Hands group. It also has an affiliated elementary school withan extended care program before and after school.
Our Lady of The Assumption is located on Berkeley Avenue at the corner of West Bonita Avenue. This beautiful red-brick Roman Catholic church has Sunday services as well as Saturday cigils and weekday masses. It also sponsors an Adult Bible Study group on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and a Centering Prayer group on Tuesday evenings at 7pm.
Our Lady's Rosary Prayer Group meets on Tuesdays at 9am, and the Women's Bible Sharing Group meets on Thursdays at 9am. There is a Pax Christi group that meets twice monthly from 8:15am to 10am on alternate Saturdays to pray, study and act for peace through justice.

St. Martha Catholic Church was founded in 1927 and has been located at its current downtown Sarasota address since 1930. The church offers study groups and youth programs, as well as choir programs and missionary opportunities. St. Martha Catholic Church has an on-site parking lot, and a large courtyard in the center of the establishment.

St. Anastasia Church is a popular Catholic church in Troy. It is a particularly large facility, making it convenient for a large congregation, weddings and other events. The church also offers a variety of liturgy and mass times, in addition to many youth activities.
Celebrating their 45th anniversary in April 2011, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church has been serving the Rockville community for many years. The church has a large number of masses weekly, an active youth ministry, and adult and children's choirs.
The mission of Santa Maria Catholic Church is to "know Jesus better and make Him better known". The distinctive bells of the church, which rings in song, welcome parishioners and visitors to the well-shaded grounds. Parish programs include faith formation, administration of the Sacraments/RCIA, a youth ministry and a Catholic Youth Organization program. The pastor of the church is Rev. Msgr. Theodore W. Kraus.

Oak Pointe Church is a non-denominational Christian church located just west of Wixom Road on 10 Mile. The church is modern and very spacious. The pastoral leadership and management team is led by Bob Shirock, senior pastor. The church has several ministries for different age groups, such as Adventureland for infants through 5th graders, The Rock, for students in 6th through 8th grade and 707, for students in 9th through 12th grades. The church also sponsors global missions and encourages participation by the congregation. True North Christian Counseling is located on the church premises.

Established in 1952, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church has served as a place of worship for its parishioners during the last 15 decades. In the mid-1950s, it was decided two separate buildings would be constructed for the church and a school. Immaculate Heart of Mary School is now located behind the church, off of Lillis Drive.
Archbishop Albert E. Meyer established Our Lady of Lourdes Congregation as a parish in 1958. The name was chosen because it was the centennial anniversary of the appearance of the Blessed Mother to St. Bernadette at Lourdes. A wing of classrooms was added to the building in 1961 to meet the need of burgeoning class sizes. The '70s and '80s brought tremendous growth to the parish in membership, programs, committees and staffing.
All of the changes and growth over 30 years have made Our Lady of Lourdes a destination parish. The '90s brought great overhauls to the worship in both space, converting the gymnasium to a church, and style, by introducing dramatic presentations and dance to the liturgies. Expanded music and drama programs were brought into the fold.
Our Lady of Lourdes also hosts an Annual Fun Fest for the community. Beginning in 1985, the festival has been a means of gathering the community and celebrating the parish.
