The center provides a range of social services that include a food pantry, a thrift store, financial assistance, referral programs and seasonal needs whether they are tax or holiday related. Voluteers and donations are always welcome.

The Lorton Senior Center provides a range of opportunities for Lorton residents 55 and over to make friends, stay on the move, and learn new things. The center offer classes, health and wellness programs, computer and Internet access, trips and tours, and opportunities to socialize with others and stay connected with your community. There is an annual membership fee for attending the senior centers. Lunch is available with a suggested donation between $2 and $6 based on age and income. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Transportation, by Fastran bus, may be available at a nominal charge from your home to the center nearest you and back home.
