Immanuel Lutheran Church, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2009, is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The church offers several worship services on Sundays, including a contemporary service featuring live music that is held in a nearby movie theater. Immanuel's goal is to be a 24/7 church that is extremely active in outreach. It participates in the DuPage Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) program and has operated a food pantry at the church for more than 20 years. It also operates the Immanuel Lutheran preschool on site.
Founded in 1986, Community Adult Day Care is a not-for-profit adult day care facility serving the Downers Grove area. Community Adult Day Care grew from a community run coalition of church-goers to a center with several full and part-time employees, as well as a network of dedicated volunteers. It has daily activities such as bingo, crafts, baking and exercises.
This location is the Downers Grove Chapter of the Loyal Order of Moose, which is a charitable fraternity that aims to provide support for local communities and youth through a number of service programs. Programs include food drives and fundraising efforts as well as free family activities to encourage strong and close family units. The Order of Moose aims to direct the energies of community members into projects that will benefit the community and the nation.
Part of a 150-acre preserve, Lyman Woods Interpretive Center offers a two-for-one deal: a learning center and a beautiful nature area to explore. With so many acres, you will want to take a guided tour and reap the benefits of someone who knows the area. The Lyman Woods Interpretive Center, an economically friendly building with a green roof, houses changing exhibits for visitors. While walking the grounds, take notice of the butterfly and the rain gardens.

Providing furniture for those who need, Sharing Connections bridges the gap between those who have stuff to give and those who would do well to receive. Since 2001, Sharing Connections has been servicing the community from its current location in Downers Grove.
Marquette Manor Baptist Church is led by Senior Paster Dave Schlagel. The church holds Sunday services at 9:15am and 6pm and offers Sunday school classes.

The Lincoln Center houses the Park District preschool, the active adult (senior) center, a gym, an auditorium, classrooms and a modern kitchen. Various classes are held in Lincoln Center including dance, ceramics, music and tot classes. Rentals are available.

McCollum Park is the largest and most popular park in Downers Grove, offering several amenities including baseball, basketball, sand volleyball, horseshoes, soccer, football, tennis, shuffleboard, an 18-hole miniature golf course and a 1.2-mile walking/running path.
As part of an agreement between the Village of Downers Grove and the Downers Grove Park District, stormwater improvements are being made to the park which include relocating the basketball and sand volleyball courts along with a new full-size soccer field featuring bleachers, goals and irrigation and drain systems.

The nondenominational Christian Worship Center helps people learn and worship God as the holy trinity of father, son and holy spirit. All are welcome regardless of age or association.
This YMCA facility aims to engage, educate and inspire children of all ages. Facilities include a child care center, skate park, gym, climbing wall, pool and expansive play fields. The facility is near two area schools, offering opportunities for after-school programs. Clothes and food drives are carried out periodically to assist the needy and area shelters. Programs are run seasonally and membership is available monthly.
Also known as SEASPAR, the association provides year round recreation services for individuals of all ages with disabilities. Its office is located in the Recreation Center and the programs are offered in conjunction with the Downers Grove Park District along with the Village of Brookfield, Clarendon Hills Park District, Darien Park District, Village of Indian Head Park, Community Park District of LaGrange, Lisle Park District, Village of Western Springs, Westmont Park District and the Woodridge Park District.
They offer a wide array of activities including, swimming, scuba diving, ice skating, music, theatre, horseback riding, gymastics, basketball and many other specials events including the Special Olympics.There is a full schedule of all events online or stop by the Recreation Center and pick up a brochure. Since its founding more than a hundred years ago, St. Joseph Catholic Church has grown to become an active and vital part of Downers Grove's religious community. The church offers several masses each week as well youth ministry, diaconate and religious education programs and volunteer opportunities in a hospital, nursing home, the Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) program and Catholics for Life. Founded in 1919, Alexander Bradley Burns Post 80 of the American Legion is surrounded by manicured lawns and imposing war memorials. The Post has several committees devoted to community service, with a special focus on youth. Members of the Post and their sons and auxiliary members also participate in the Legion Riders program. ABB Post 80 hosts bingo, pull tab and raffle games at 4:30pm each Tuesday. The Post also rents space for special events. Downers Grove Field (Traffic) Court is held at the Post at 8:30am and 1pm, Monday through Friday.
