William E. Kessler Park is located on Sweet Hollow Road between Sunquam Elementary School and the Melville Fire Department. Formerly known as Melville Park, it was renamed and dedicated to Firefighter William E. Kessler.
The park boasts two baseball diamonds with bleachers and is host to numerous local baseball/softball teams and leagues.
The park also has a large picnic/barbecue area. Permits to use this facility for private picnics/events are available to Huntington residents, organizations and groups. Applications can be acquired from the Town of Huntington Department of Parks and Recreation. An application and permit fee will apply.
