Located in Sayreville, N.J., the Middlesex County Fire Academy was established in 1992 and provides training to firefighters and emergency response personnel. It maintains an office of the fire marshal that oversees the operations of the training facility. The academy provides classroom instruction and training in fire, rescue and hazardous materials response. The Middlesex County Fire Academy consists of a five-story training tower, flammable liquid training, vehicle extrication, and confined space and industrial training areas, as well as a drafting pond. It offers various online registration and application forms for drill and training programs. The academy has an amphitheater with seating for more than 180 persons with audiovisual capabilities.
