Consumer Affairs is operated by the Santa Cruz District Attorney's Office, which occupies much of the second floor of the Santa Cruz County courthouse building. The office works with anyone who lives, shops or does business in Santa Cruz County. Consumer Affairs also maintains a list of businesses' complaint histories, which is available to the public.
Senior Network Services was established to help seniors and people with disabilities find support services. The organization prints a directory of resources based in Santa Cruz. At the beginning of 2010, Veterans Services relocated from its former location downtown in the historic Veterans Hall to the Emeline Avenue complex. Veterans services brings a mobile medical unit to the parking lot every Wednesday. In addition, a van makes trips regularly from Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley to the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Veterans must call ahead to make an appointment to speak with a Veterans Services employee. The mobile medical unit takes walk-ins.

Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter provides animal rescue and humane care for approximately 7,000 unwanted, stray, or mistreated animals per year. It also offers open adoptions for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and other animals.
The engineering division of the Santa Cruz Water Department plans, designs and constructs all water facilities in Santa Cruz. The division keeps records of all water facilities, including maps of the installations. Engineering handles all requests for water services.

The downtown office, located near the corner of Ocean and Water streets, is most frequently used for making restitution payments.
