The Oregon Culinary Institute offers professional culinary programs, right at the restaurant mecca of Portland, Oregon. Our fast-paced, hands-on work environment provide students with the experience, skills, and confidence they need to pursue their dream career. Programs include culinary arts, baking and pastry, and restaurant management.
The Chopping Block is a recreational cooking school. It hosts classes and demonstrations on food and wine, and organizes corporate events and private cooking parties. The business also has a retail store, where foodies can buy knives, pots and kitchen gadgets.
The Kids' Table provides cooking lessons for kids, teens and their families. Owner Elena Marre teaches young eaters the ins and outs of cooking and food preparation, from hand-washing and set up to clean-up, all while introducing kids to new and healthy foods, and giving teens independent living skills that promote healthy eating. Birthday parties and other private events are available upon request, and a wide selection of cooking supplies available for purchase in-store or online.
